Brisbane Light Tours

Recently, I took a trip up to Brisbane with my family and we pretty much played it safe with your standard tour packages where the agency brings you around to all the tourist attractions. But we had one free day to spare and we had to find a way to maximize the time. After all, it was my family’s first trip to Brisbane.

I chanced upon this website online that was providing night tours, showcasing the lights of Brisbane. With the promise of having a local to show us around, I made a booking for the group of 6.

On the day itself, there was a big mixed up on the hotel we were at, but Mark (our guide) provided extraordinary service and drove for an hour to come get us! We really appreciated him making the effort to come get us, so that we could have a memorable last night in Brisbane.

The tour was small and personal. With the group of 6 of us and another couple from New Zealand, we were up on a mini-van that comfortably sits 12.

Up the hilly roads to the Mt Coot-tha Lookout, which was voted as the best view in Brisbane, we knew why instantly when we were at the top.

At 287 metres above sea level, this was the highest peak in Brisbane and one could see the entire skyline of Brisbane. There is also an awesome restaurant at the lookout where dinner was served. The food was fantastic and the servings were just right.
